The Sunset Shoot at Rosewood Manor
On SetLocation: Rosewood Estates | Team: Jessica (Photography)
During the wedding ceremony of Charlotte and Daniel, the golden hour was projected to last only 14 minutes due to low horizon clouds. While the guests transitioned to the dinner reception hall, we escorted the couple to a hillside overlook we had mapped out that morning.
Using a dual Sony A7R V body layout (one mounted with an 85mm F/1.2 prime, the other with a 35mm F/1.4), we captured dynamic full-length silhouettes and tight portraits without swapping lenses. This prevented dust from entering the camera sensors in the windy hills and guaranteed absolute clarity in a high-speed window.
Synchronizing Multi-Camera Audio at Receptions
Post-ProductionLocation: Editing Suite | Team: Liam (Video) & Amelie (Editing)
Capturing the vows and the father-of-the-bride's toast requires pristine sound. For Daniel & Charlotte's wedding, we placed a wireless lapel microphone on the groom and the officiant, while placing a secondary field recorder directly onto the podium.
Back in the editing suite, Amelie synced these four audio channels with the primary camera lines and drone sweeps. In our final cinematic cuts, this multi-track mixing ensures that wedding vows are crisp, free of wind noise, and perfectly balanced against the custom color-graded footage.
Making the Hardwood Acrylic Layout spreads
Album BindingLocation: Print Studio | Team: Marcus (Bookbinding)
Our lay-flat albums aren't printed on a typical paper press. Marcus binds them using a traditional hot press technique. Each printed spread is backed by a rigid core cardstock, making the sheets incredibly sturdy. They are then bound using flexible adhesive hinges, allowing pages to open completely flat on a table.
For the leather covers, we select top-grain Italian leather sleeves, hand-stretching them over heavy bookboards before applying heat-stamped gold foil engravings of the couple's name. It's a slow, slow process, but it guarantees that the book will not warp or split at the seams for decades.
